Welcome to Primary 3 and 4

Hello and welcome to our page!  Our teacher is Miss Cruickshank this year.

We are always really busy in our class.  We are learning lots of new things this year.  We really enjoy Art and Topic work.

We were investigating how magnets work for our Forces topic and we worked together to lift a chair!

What We Do!

As well as learning new things we are always using our manners, listening well and following instructions.

We are learning this year to become a bit more independent and try to work things out ourselves first before finding some help.  We are also being more responsible for our work and our routines in class.

We are working towards becoming ACE pupils!

Our Year!

We have enjoyed doing rugby this year and tried our best at the rugby festival in Hawick in September.

This year, we have done 2 assemblies so far.  One of them was about our Forces topic and we did a ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ quiz.  One of us had to be Chris Tarrant!  For our other assembly we told everyone about St Andrew and read the fairytale, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, but we read it in Scots Tung which was quite tricky!

Some of our class are members of committees within the school.  They attend meetings and then feed back information to the class about what is going on in the school.

We enjoyed having Lisa from ‘Play in a Day’ in on Monday14th January.  We spent all day in the hall.  First we did drama warm ups which were lots of fun.  Then just before break we started to learn a play about the Romans.  By the end of the day, we had learned the whole play and performed it to the rest of the school.  Some of it was very funny!

This term we are studying The Romans for our topic and are looking forward to learning lots about them and their history in Scotland.
